The aspen Quilted hammock was designed for ultralight backpacking, weighing less than 2 lbs. It is not restrained by rocks or inclines, enabling a comfortable night in most outdoor circumstances; it is equipped with padding for insulation, spinal support, and a tension-assisted headrest.
A day in the life: (of backpacking for Oscar)
Recorded and documented 7/14/23
Distance: 7.61 Miles Time: 28 Hours
Elevation Gain: 2,558 Feet
Pack: 24 lbs
"Steep incline through and through. The mosquitoes and bugs were unbearable when there wasn't a steep incline."
"I slept on rocks and my pad wasn't close to being thick enough"
"My pack really started wearing on me, any more weight and it would have effected my balance while scaling up the rocks."
Designed in three sizes. Enabling the user to have and carry only what is essential to their needs and preferences.
Weight is everything.
Made with a Voronoi Distribution:

Sewing along the base of the hammock was done with a flat feld seam. The base of the hammock has a slight curve unlike a normal hammocks boxy construction. This helps the hammock naturally create tension with weight making the head rest.
The sewing on the interior padded structure was made with batting. And sewing over the patterns of its construction. Enabling me to preserve the curves of the Voronoi distribution.
Complete with a pocket for holding the dry bag for the hammock, or whatever the user may need to hold close.
The head rest slightly elevates the users head easing the naturally created strain on the users neck.
